I always admire people who have such a talent to paint, draw or play a musical instrument. I have to agree with what Jan says in that I personally have great difficulty in understanding abstract or contemporary art.
Enjoyed the inset of the interviewer on the screen , made it better for me to follow each oters dialogue and to check that the interviewer’s reaction and that she remains interested
I have to admit I was a bit shocked at some of the questions Valerie asked this obviously talented artist. They were actually interesting. Shame the interviewer hasn’t kept this level of questioning in the rest of her interviews.
I have looked at Jan Jone’s website, stunning pieces and the sense for detail, brilliant. Were too many women for my liking though.
What an amazing talent Jan has, refreshing to hear from a true artist who has learnt her craft from some of the best tutors in the country, have to agree with Mr John her website is stunning, her eye for detail brings the image alive. You could tell Valerie had done her research as her questions where deep and meaningful, sometimes Valerie you can seem to be winging it in other interviews, tell the producer you need time to prepare, it makes such a difference.
got to agree watercolours are difficuilt to master, Jan knows her craft her work is stunning I should imagine she is an excellent teacher, an excellent interview well done Jan and Valerie …..
It must be brilliant to be able to master all the different mediums in art. I was very impressed with the interview Valerie asks the right questions and gives us a rounded idea of the interviewee. Jan seems at home in front of the cameras well done both of you. Nice top Valerie……
I agree watercolours are hard to master. Jan knows her craft her art work is brilliant and i can imagine her to be a great teacher. the interviews are improving each time and i look forward to more. An interesting interview well executed.
This was a wonderfully warm interview and for me personally it was nice to see someone who has a creative skill following their passions and have the courage to live their dreams, as I child I had a talent for art but didnt feel I was good enough to make a living out of it, so I really admire those who do. Jan clearly demonstrates she is empathetic and her dreamy, creative nature I can see reflect in her work. The broken screen for interviwer and interview didnt really work for me this time, it appeared to separate the intimacy between you that was obvioulsy there. Jan’s personality along with skills make for a great teacher, I would love to be taught by you Jan, I feel you would really be able to get me past my feeling that my art would not be good enough, especially as you were taught not to settle!
