Beverley Race course been prepared for the big day tomorrow for the race revellers descend on the course on the 11th August 2010.

Horse racing is on the cards and the course has to be looked after with plenty of water! Yes the sprinkler DOES go around the full course!

Admission to the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosures are at ‚£14 each & the Course Enclosure badges at ‚£5 each‚ can be pre-ordered by calling 01482 867488, Order NOW or will be available to purchase on the day.

Competitions on the day will include

  • Best dressed lady
  • Best hat
  • Best dressed gentleman

Beverley Race course judges will be mingling in the enclosures and asking people they feel should be in the final to take part.‚  If you are approached and asked to take part‚  you will be given a rosette with instructions for the judging of the final. This will then take place in the fashion show marquee.

The best dressed lady and best dressed gentleman competitions , are sponsored by Hugh Rice Hull’s local jewellers. Prizes include a ‚£1’300 watch and will be presented to the best dressed gentleman out right winner and a fully bespoke diamond necklace worth ‚£3,000 is the prize for the best dressed lady of the day.

The Best hat competition winner will be able to go to Unique Salon for a years hairdressing and products, Unique Salon are based in Cottingham‚ and Hull. You will also receive a meal for two at the Bluebell bar &‚ Grill in Cottingham.

5 fashion shows will be on throughout the day at the following times:

  • 3.25 pm
  • 3.55 pm
  • 4.30 pm
