What is White Collar Boxing?

White Collar Boxing is a relatively new form of this historic sport On the wave of huge success in the United States where it originated, it has filtered across the pond to
the UK and is now set to explode m Hull White Collar Boxing is said to have originated in 1988 at the now world famous Gleasons Gym New York, where two‚  wall Street business men who both fancied themselves as boxers had a bet on who would still be standing if they were to fight toe to toe in the ring over three rounds of boxing. As
the story goes they both employed experienced personal trainers and set about training for the showdown.
Alter six months of hard training, fight night arrived in front of a packed audience made up of family, friends and colleagues, and as luck would have it, both men were equally matched and stood the test of the three rounds with their heads held high. The word soon spread of the men who wore white shirts by day and boxing gloves by night, and White Collar Boxing was born. The roots of White Collar Boxing can still be seen in the sport today as individuals from all walks of life put on their boxing gloves to compete. Each fight consists of three, two-minute rounds. Each fighter must wear 16oz gloves mouth, groin and head guards to ensure their safety.
